Hot
off the press is the news that the Volunteer Centre has
successfully renewed its Investor in People status. (27th
Feb 2007)
Staff,
trustees and volunteers are all delighted that the award,
originally gained in 2004, has been confirmed for another
3 years.
After
a day of interviews with the team, the IiP Assessor said she
considered Volunteer Centre Dacorum to be an exemplar organisation
and would be recommending it for a nomination as an Investors
in People Champion!
Since
2004, the IiP standard has been made tougher, with much more
emphasis on the Business Planning process and the involvement
of all personnel in decision making.
Basing
strategic planning on the delivery of the 6 core functions
of a Volunteer Centre has enabled us to develop a logical
framework for the Business Plan. It also ensures that we maintain
Volunteering England Quality Accreditation and meet the performance
indicator targets for our Partnership Agreement with Dacorum
Borough Council. |
