Forum
has been running since 1997. Meetings have covered a wide range
of topics with a mix of information exchange and training.
During
2005, training for the Volunteer Organisers Forum will be run in
partnership with North Herts College Professional Development Centre.

Membership
Forum
members are people from within organisations who take responsibility
for volunteers, and who want to further their knowledge on volunteers
& volunteering.
They may be volunteers themselves, or paid employees.
Membership
is free, informal & open to organisations which operate in Dacorum.
Aims
of DVOF:-
- To
share, discuss and develop best practice in volunteer management
- To
provide opportunities for networking and peer support
- To
access the latest information and research on volunteering
- To
explore possibilities for joint work eg training, promotional
activities, recruiting and sharing volunteers
- To
identify shared problems, seek solutions and agree practical action
to bring about change, including campaigning where appropriate
We
recognise the range of training needs of the group and will endeavour
to draw up a programme with something of interest to everyone. New
members are always welcome!
