The Roundhouse - what's on offer?

The Roundhouse has full disabled access and it's a lot bigger than you might think from the outside! It offers great opportunities for voluntary and community sector organisations in Dacorum:-

*  Town Centre shop front - windows for displays

*  Interview rooms - for 1:1 meetings (with Internet connections)

* Resources Room - for meetings / training / other activities :-

* Interactive whiteboard / projector / laptop
* Internet connection
* Portable hearing loop
* Small kitchen for preparing drinks / snacks
* Reception service and waiting area

*  Library - a reference source for people who work with volunteers

Anyone interested in making use of these facilities is welcome to call in for the "circular tour" and a cup of coffee!

Resources Room hire
The Resources Room is very adaptable. It can accommodate up to 10 people around a table (or 15 in theatre style).

Charges
Bookings can be for occasional or regular use. For member organisations, the basic room hire charge is £10.00 per hour which represents a 20% discount.

Interview Rooms are charged at £8 per hour for members.

Non member rates per hour are £12.50 for the Resources Room and £10.00 for an Interview Room.

Displays



Member organisations are able to display leaflets and posters inside the Roundhouse and in one of the 8 external windows for FREE! They can also book spaces in one of the large windows (for 1 or 2 weeks) to advertise activities or forthcoming events.

Poster production
Please contact us if you need help producing posters - we have up to date graphics and desk top publishing software and both A4 and A3 colour printers. We can print 1 or 2 posters for you to display at the Roundhouse. (£1 for A4, £2 for A3).

Photocopying
We offer a small volume black and white photocopying service at 10p for A4 and 20p for A3.

Thanks to a Capacitybuilders grant in March 2009, the Roundhouse has additional facilities including an interactive whiteboard.

An interactive whiteboard is a large display screen that connects to a computer and projector.

The projector beams the computer’s desktop onto the board’s surface, where you can control the computer using a special pen or your finger. An "ink" layer allows you to draw or add comments which can be saved on the computer. It's an electronic flip chart!

PowerPoint presentations, DVD's and videos can be played through the system which also has stereo sound.

We have a library of reference books covering volunteer recruitment and management, trustee information etc. Please call in for a browse.
