HERTFORDSHIRE SOCIETY FOR THE BLIND

Stall showing many of the gadgets available to help people who have visual impairment.

Volunteers are needed to befriend people who are blind or partially sighted - also to help with clubs.


Are you, or anyone you know or care for, registered blind or partially sighted? Or are you having problems with your sight?
Hertfordshire Society for the Blind may be able to help you with advice and practical assistance.
For over 85 years, the society has been offering support to visually impaired people across the county

It currently provides the following services:-

home visits by staff and trained volunteers
an information and support service in hospital eye clinics
general advice on the telephone
introductions to specialised clubs and college courses
advice and demonstration of specialist equipment
resource centre
training

The Hertfordshire Society for the Blind has recently moved from Ware to offices on the County Hall site in Hertford.
The society's new address is:
