Volunteers' Week 2003 - Meals On Wheels

BOROUGH MEALS SERVICE - MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals on wheels are delivered by volunteers to over 800 people in the Borough everyday of the year- except Christmas Day! With that number of deliveries, the need for volunteers is great.

If you, or anyone you know, could help out then we would love to hear from you. Drivers are particularly welcome, but equally important are helpers who deliver the meals and meet the elderly/disabled diners.
Mileage expenses for the driver are covered.
Rounds start at 11am, and a round takes about an hour and a half.
Volunteers can do 1 day a week (or less). The scheme works on a rota system.
