HERTFORDSHIRE CONSTABULARY

POLICE SPECIALS

Have you got what it takes to be "Special"?
Special Constables are volunteers who work alongside regular officers in front-line policing. They wear the same uniform and have the same powers as their full time colleagues. Full training, including officer protection equipment, is given for this extremely challenging role. Volunteers are expected to commit to at least 16 hours duty per month, most of which will be at weekends. Minimum commitment of 2 years is required.
