With a track record of helping to build and strengthen our local communities, transforming the lives of those getting involved, Volunteer Centre Dacorum has supported charities and community groups for over 50 years, linking individuals and groups of people wishing to volunteer with non-profit organisations needing help from volunteers.

CAD Volunteer Centre is part of Support4Dacorum (S4D), the support service for voluntary and community groups in Dacorum, delivered by Community Action Dacorum, who are an infrastructure organisation, in other words an umbrella group – here to support other voluntary groups in the Borough of Dacorum in Hertfordshire.

CAD provide support to many projects throughout the Dacorum Area, including:

  • Herts Interpreting and Translation Services (HITS)

  • Connect Dacorum

  • Building Better Opportunities

  • Creative Learning

  • Repair Shed

  • Community Transport

  • Shopmobility

  • Radio Dacorum

  • Support4Dacorum

  • Volunteer Centre

CAD also provide, through Support4Dacorum, information and advice on starting up community groups, developing policies and procedures, helping with registering charities, financial & funding advice, networking, helping to find volunteers, helping with volunteer management and training, these are just some of the services CAD and S4D provide to the community of the Borough of Dacorum, which includes: Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead, Bovingdon, Berkhamsted, Northchurch, and Tring.
