What are you doing on Sunday 21st October?
The Hospice of St Francis is holding a Mud Pack Challenge and is in need of some volunteers to help marshal the event.
The Hospice helps 2,000 local people to live their precious lives well. Its free care has many forms – care at the Hospice, at home, or in its Spring Centre - and is defined by each person's needs. The charity ‘gives life back’ by improving symptoms helping people to achieve personal goals whilst for others it makes the end of life the best it can be, being there for loved ones and children affected by loss.
The Hospice needs to raise £5 million a year and in order to raise this much-needed money, they host charitable events such as the Mud Pack Challenge.
This exciting event takes place on Sunday 21st October on the beautiful grounds of Ashridge House near Berkhamsted. At the event, Mudpackers will crawl, splash, climb and wade their way through muddy obstacles and will be sponsored by friends and family to do so! The charity needs volunteers to help them deliver a slick, smooth event and keep the Mudpackers safe and happy by marshalling the 5 mile route. Marshalling duties are from 9am-3pm, and you’ll have a special onsite parking permit. The determination, spirit of camaraderie and team work of the mudpackers and marshals is overwhelming. It’s a day filled with fun, love and mud!
