Live local Radio - Volunteers needed for Dacorum’s local radio station!

Radio Dacorum are looking for new volunteer presenters – are you a budding music buff who would like to reach thousands of listeners and learn a new skill? If you are then please read on!

Radio Dacorum broadcasts online 24 hours per day 7 days a week with live presenters on air from 8.00am to 10.00pm. The station combines music chosen by the volunteers with the opportunity for voluntary organisations, public authorities and private companies to promote their services and local activities on the 33 weekly live shows per week which attracts 3,000+ listeners to the show! Over the past months 120+ Dacorum community groups and businesses have guested on Radio Dacorum’ s LIVE radio shows to share their stories with the radios listeners.

The station is managed by the volunteers and the station broadcasts a diverse mix of shows, events and activities. Listeners can access the station via the internet on their computer, by mobiles using an app and on internet radios.

As a radio presenter volunteer you will need a good sense of humour, be able to work as part of a team and enjoy expressing yourself through music and conversation. You will need to be comfortable using a PC and social media and not mind working alone. It isn’t just the community that benefits from having its own radio station, it’s the volunteers too who get so much out of being part of a community hub by making friends or being part of a great team of people.
