At the CAD Volunteer Centre, we have a wide range of volunteering roles available, and new ones are added on a regular basis. Below are a sample of the roles that are currently available.

Dacorum Heritage Trust, the Accredited Museum for the area of Dacorum based in a converted fire station in Berkhamsted and housing in excess of 110,000 artefacts relating to the history of the Borough has 2 new exciting vacancies.The Roundhouse

They are looking for a new trustee with a financial background and with knowledge of legal compliance to join their established board as a Financial Director. Responsibilities will include helping the board carry out its duty to provide financial oversight by taking the lead in developing policies relating to finances, reserves and investments, and to consider the implications of strategic plans, annual budgets and financial management reports.

They are also looking for a new trustee to take on the responsibility for fundraising at board level. If you have a background in, or are interested in fundraising, then you could be the person they are looking for. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing their fundraising plan and identifying opportunities to raise awareness of the Trust in the Dacorum area.

Herts County Netball Association is looking for someone with good communication and interpersonal skills, and good I.T and internet skills to volunteer as a Communications and Marketing Officer. Tasks will include increasing awareness of and publicising netball and netball volunteering in Hertfordshire, to help increase netball participation, to recruit volunteers, and to secure funding.

The WEA Kings Langley Branch is looking for someone with social media experience to volunteer as a Publicity Officer, to manage and expand their publicity. The WEA organise adult education courses around Hemel Hempstead, Abbots Langley and Kings Langley, and they cover a wide range of cultural topics for example history, architecture, history of art and comedy to name a few!

Don’t forget - by volunteering just a couple of hours a week you are helping contribute to your local community .
