Could you provide a break for an unpaid carer?
The Crossroads Care Breakaway volunteer service helps unpaid carers who often feel isolated at home by staying with the person they care for while they have a break from their caring role.
Crossroads Care have an extraordinary team for volunteers who give their time to help people stay connected with their community throughout Hertfordshire.
You could make a difference by listening and supporting, sharing your time to support hobbies and interests, and provide a connection with the community.
You will need to have good communication skills, be friendly and approachable, reliable and over 18 to support these isolated people iny our community. In return, you will receive training, one-to-one support, the opportunity to learn new hobbies or skills, and personal fulfilment from supporting a family in need.
Crossroads Care’s service is flexible so as a volunteer you can arrange your volunteering around your work or family commitments. You can give as much time as you like.
