By celebrating Small Charity Week, we can highlight the work of the small charity sector to the broadest possible audience and try to encourage public giving.
At Community Action Dacorum, most of the charities that we work with are small, local charities that work hard to help people in the local community. As such, Small Charity Week is the perfect opportunity for us to promote and celebrate the hard work that they do in our community.
Throughout the week, we will be inviting some local small charities to the Volunteer Centre in Hemel Hempstead town centre to promote their work and maybe raise some valuable funds to further their causes. If you are in town, come by and see us to learn about some of the many small charities that are active parts of this community.
You can also pop into the Roundhouse to talk to one of our advisors about how you can help out these small charities by volunteering!
For more information on the charities that will be joining us during the week, keep an eye on our Twitter @VCDacorum or Facebook @volunteerdacorum pages. You can also follow Small Charity Week on Twitter @SCWeek2019 or by the hashtag #SmallCharityWeek.
