A new role for the new year -  plus read some of our feedback to see what people get out of volunteering!

Headway, a  charity which helps people  improve their lives and Hands raise in the air pointing to the word Volunteer made froom cloudsregain their independence, is looking for a Support Volunteer for their Peer Support Group. The group is based in Hemel Hempstead and the role will involve rehabilitation session support and peer support for their clients who have learning disability difficulties. The duties include helping clients with reading and writing when doing cognitive activities, filling in questionnaires as part of therapy activities and general assistance with their activities. Help will also be needed with collecting subscription money, writing receipts and helping with setting up the room and serving refreshments.

This role will suit someone with good literacy and numeracy skills and who has experience of working with people with learning disabilities. If you are interested in this role please give us a call on the number below.
