Volunteer Recruitment Fair
On Friday 27th September, Community Action Dacorum will be hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Fair at the Forum in Hemel Hempstead. This is a networking event for potential volunteers to come, meet and listen to local voluntary organisations talking about the many volunteering opportunities that are available in the local area and beyond!
There will be a number of charities based in the local area that will be attending the event who will talk to volunteers about the work that their charity does and the kind of roles that they have available for volunteers.
Some of the charities in attendance include: Age UK Dacorum, Sunnyside Rural Trust, the Hospice of St Francis, Friends of St Peter’s Great Berkhamsted, Herts Inclusive Theatre, and our own Community Transport and Shopmobility.
The event will consist of short presentations by each of the organisations who will talk about the types and varieties of roles that they have available. You will then have the opportunity to talk to the various charities and ask them any questions that you may have about volunteering for them. The event will conclude with a free light lunch!
This event is the perfect opportunity for people who are considering getting involved with volunteering to learn about all the possible things they could do! And there will be people from the Volunteer Centre on hand to help you get started in your volunteering journey.
The event is completely free to attend but we do ask people to RSVP so that we know how many people to cater for! If you are interested in attending, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01442 247209.
