Have you seen the brand new Mother and Baby Charity Shop which opened in 160 The Marlowes Hemel Hempstead on Saturday 19th October?
Called Alternatives, it is one of their 2 shops which are raising funds to enable the charity to provide life-changing emotional and practical support for anyone facing pregnancy related challenges.
It stocks good quality second-hand clothes and equipment for mums-to-be, babies and children up to 5.
They are looking for people to help out at their Hemel Hempstead shop, sorting and displaying donations, serving customers and helping out in their brand new shop.
Dacorum Hospital Action Group, a non-profit organisation, formed in 1975, are campaigning to keep vital hospital services in Hemel Hempstead and are looking for volunteers to help them with their work.
They are looking for someone to help with their new web site launched in September. If you have web-site design or building experience they would love to hear from you.
DHAG are also looking for a creative person to design leaflets and posters and other publicity material to help with their campaigning.
Lastly they are looking to expand their Social Media presence, and are looking for someone to create a profile for them on Twitter and Facebook.
Gateway Clubs provide leisure activities throughout the UK for people with a learning disability. The Berkhamsted and Tring branch of Gateway is open to anyone over 18 with a learning disability who lives in Berkhamsted, Tring, or the surrounding villages.
The Berkhamsted and Tring Gateway Club are looking for some more people to help out. The club is held twice a month on Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 9pm. They are looking for volunteers to drive members to and from the club as well as people to help out at the club, setting and clearing up, and helping out with the activities.
