Latest Opportunities

We have some brand new opportunities at the Roundhouse this week with some new charities!Volunteer Hands Colour

The Snow Sports Foundation generates funds to promote and deliver snow sports opportunities, either i

ndividually or in groups from schools, to a range of people with additional needs,

disabilities, financial hardship or social circumstances. Their core focus is on children and young people.

This engagement takes place on the slopes of indoor ski centres in the UK and enhances their social, emotional and communication skills, whilst improving fitness, balance, concentration and ultimately, self-confidence.

The Snow Sports Foundation are currently looking for Finance and Admin volunteers to help them deal with applications for funding, preparing invoices for payment, recording income and expenditure, and helping with bids for funding.

Sunnyside Church in Berkhamsted holds a weekly Lunch Club for senior citizens during term-time at 12 noon every Monday. The Lunch Club consists of a delicious two-course home cooked meal, a short thought from scripture, often accompanied by a traditional hymn and plenty of joy as new friends are made and lunch is enjoyed.

Sunnyside Church Lunch Club is currently looking for some volunteer cooks to help them prepare the meals that are served at the club. They are also looking for some volunteer drivers who can transport elderly members to and from the club. The role would take place once or twice a month on a rota system.

The British Red Cross Hertfordshire are currently looking for some Mobility Aids Customer Service volunteers at their Croxley Green, High Wycombe and Hertford centres. The Mobility Aids Customer Service Volunteer will be on hand to deal with wheelchair requests and enter details onto a database. This key role will enable people to return home after an illness or surgery and help them to remain independent or go on a holiday or trip with friends or family.

If you are interested in any of these roles, please give us a call on 01442 247209 or visit our website www.volunteerdacorum.org. You can also pop in to see us at the Volunteer Centre in Hemel town centre!
