Open Door is currently looking for volunteers to fulfil several roles for them. Open Door is a safe, welcoming and vibrant community space situated on Berkhamsted High Street where people enjoy being active, creative, sociable and engaged. They have a wide range of activities on offer such as classes to stretch, relax and re-energise as well as art, craft and creative workshops. Open Door hosts regular exhibitions and events such as literary, food, tea dances and quiz nights. They are currently looking for a new volunteer manager to help organise the rota of when volunteers will be there.

Open Door is also home to a community café which is funded by donations. At the café, they need some volunteers to help out with serving tea and coffee to the patrons as well as keeping the space clean and tidy. If you are a keen baker, Open Door is also looking for someone to make some cakes that can be offered to people in the café.

Rennie Grove provides specialist care and support for adults and children with a life-limiting illness in West Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. They need your help so that they can continue to provide this much needed support. Rennie Grove are looking for volunteers to help out in a variety of different roles such as drivers, street collection and home box collection volunteers, and people to help run their Tea Bar at the Magistrates Court in St Albans. Rennie Grove are also looking for a ‘Community Champion’ who can use their knowledge of their local area to help the charity advertise their events, place collection boxes in local shops, pubs, offices and cafes to help raise vital funds and awareness of the charity and the work they do.
