Girl Guiding Hemel Hempstead South District are looking for volunteers to help out with their Bovingdon, Boxmoor and Chaulden units! The Girl Guides have over 400,000 members across the UK from the age of 5 to 18 and they rely on volunteers to bring fun and excitement to all their members.

With guiding, girls have fun, adventure and the space to discover their potential. Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be and to make a difference to the world around them. But they need volunteers like you to help them do this!

There are loads of benefits to volunteering with Girl Guiding Hemel Hempstead South District! Every new volunteer brings an interest or skill to Girlguiding when they join. By volunteering, you would be helping to improve the experience of the members and helping them fulfil their potential.

Not only will the members benefit from your skills and interests, but you can gain new skills too! Volunteering with the Girl Guides will give you experience of working in a team with other volunteers as well as improving your communication and organisation skills by helping to plan events and learning about negotiating and giving presentations. There are many other skills you can gain from volunteering with Girlguiding from training and mentoring other volunteers, to fundraising experience and working with partners.

Volunteering with Girlguiding isn’t just about adding skills to your CV. It’s a chance to meet a new group of friends, see new places and do some extraordinary things.
