Volunteering – Opportunities Just for You!

 

We have such a wide range of volunteering vacancies that we are sure that you will be able to find one that suits your interests and fits in with the time that you have available. Whatever you decide to do you will find it very rewarding and we can assure you that your help will be much appreciated.

Below is a small sample of the varied volunteering opportunities that are currently available. Where necessary, training will be provided.

 The Heather Club –Based at The Carey Baptist Church, Marlowes, The Heather Club need people to help with folk with dementia. If you are happy to play board games, help with artwork and generally chat, a warm welcome awaits you.

 Puffins Club –Are you sporty? If so, becoming a helper at this Club could be for you. The Club enables people of all ages with disabilities to participate in sporting activities in a friendly social environment, and takes place on Saturdays at Dacorum Sports Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

 Sunrise Church – A Coffee Morning Helper is needed to help with their coffee mornings every Monday from 9.30am until 11.30am in Adeyfield.

 Citizens Advice Watford –Volunteer Advisers and Gateway Assessors are needed to join a friendly team in Watford. As well as helping the community, this is a good opportunity to develop your own knowledge and skills.

 Frogmore Paper Mill and Visitor Centre Apsley Paper Trail. –Are you interested in History? Do you have leadership skills? If so, you could volunteer as a Team Leader for a group of voluntary archivists, based in Apsley.

 CAD-Radio Dacorum – Daytime Radio presenters are needed on this lively local community radio station based in Grove Hill. If you are over 18 why not give this a go?
