Volunteer at your local Keech Hospice Care shop

CAD Volunteer Centre is part of Support4Dacorum, the support service for voluntary and community groups in Dacorum. One of our members is Keech Hospice Care, a charity which provides free, specialist care for children in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, and adults in Luton and south Bedfordshire, who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

To help fund these vital services, Keech Hospice Care has 32 charity shops located in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.

The Keech Hospice Care shop in the Marlowes Hemel Hempstead is currently looking for volunteers to join their friendly team.

All about KeechKeech Hospice Care Shop Front

Started over 25 years ago, Keech Hospice Care is one of only a few hospices in the country providing care for both adults and children. It also offers support to their patients’ family and friends.

Keech Hospice Care knows there are no second chances to get it right so does everything it can to ensure patients are supported and cared for from the day they are diagnosed.

Keech’s excellent care helps patients to live pain and symptom free, to spend time with their family and friends at home rather than in hospital, and to make the most of the time they have left. Support is not only provided at the hospice itself, but in the hospital, school, care home or at home, wherever it is most needed.

Recently, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, the charity was delighted to welcome TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the hospice where they met patients, volunteers and staff, and learned more about the services the hospice provides.

Working at your local Keech shop is a great opportunity to support the work of the hospice and gain experience in all aspects of the retail trade, in a busy charity shop in the centre of Hemel Hempstead.
