Attention all budding photographers/radio presenters/writers!
Are you a keen photographer? Do you have radio presenting skills? We are looking for creative volunteers to help with these roles within our local charities.
For the photographer role we are looking for enthusiastic, still life photographers to help with taking photographs of items that are to be listed on our charity’s eBay 'virtual charity shop'. They particularly need volunteers on Thursdays and Fridays and are also interested in speaking to anyone who does not want to commit to a regular slot but would be happy to help on an ad hoc basis, as and when the need arises. Another of our organisations is looking for someone to help run their social media accounts. This would involve taking pictures in the charity shop and posting them onto Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Volunteer radio presenters required! We are looking for volunteer radio presenters for sessions of usually 2 to 3 hours a week. Full training is given, but a basic knowledge of social media is essential. All volunteers must be over 18 as they will be working on their own once they have been trained.
Lastly, One of our organisations is looking for someone with good creative writing skills to help them write about the wonderful job that their volunteers to do help them nominate their volunteers for awards.
If any of the above volunteer positions strike a chord with you, you can drop in and see us at the Roundhouse in the Marlowes for an informal chat – our opening hours are 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 2.00pm on a Saturday, or contact us on 01442 247209 and we can arrange for you to come in and meet one of our advisors who will go through everything with you.
This is our last article of 2018, so we would like to thank all of our volunteers for their incredible support over the last year. The volunteer centre will be closed over Christmas from the 24th December, reopening on the 2nd January 2019.
